Is Healite II™ LED phototherapy safe to use on pregnant or breastfeeding women?
For expecting and breastfeeding mothers who have been wondering if Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is a safe option, studies suggest that it can effectively improve depression during pregnancy with little risk to both mother and unborn child. Additionally, research has found 830/590nm wavelengths of LED light therapy may be used for sore or painful nipple lesions when cleared by a doctor; however the 415mn blue light should not be used as it carries risks in pregnant patients.
How comfortable is the treatment?
Very. In fact, many patients find it relaxing. Treatment is relatively short, depending on your treatment plan. Typical treatments last between 10 and 20 minutes.
How long is the downtime?
There is no downtime from the standalone Healite II™ treatment. However, if the Healite II™ treatment is an adjunctive treatment, there may be an associated downtime to your other procedure. Your cosmetic specialist will
