The frequency of your signature facials will vary depending on individual needs and goals. Generally, we recommend having a facial every 4-6 weeks in order to maintain the effects of the treatment and achieve optimal results.
Are there any side effects associated with facials provided by Joy Skin Clinic?
Facial treatments are generally safe for most people, however it is important to discuss any medical conditions or skin sensitivities with your therapist prior to the treatment.
Can the facials be performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women?
At Joy Skin Clinic, our experienced therapists use INNOVATIVE SKINCARE® products that are non-systemic and considered cosmetic by the FDA. We have been advised by the product manufacturer that these products, including those containing retinol, should pose no difficulty during pregnancy or lactation with the understanding that they should not be applied directly to lactating nipples in order to avoid ingestion. We always advise caution and recommend discussing any medical conditions or skin sensitivities with your therapist prior to treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform us before your appointment so that we can adjust the treatment accordingly.
